Walks, climbing

Too many to mention, some start from the house and you look out onto the dramatic Cadair Idris ridge.

For great views try the Panorama Walk which starts above Barmouth and New Precipice Walk from Llanelltyd.

New Precipice walk has also been designed for easy access for the not so mobile.

For advice and equipment visit the the Cadar Idris Climbing shop in Dolgellau.

Barmouth Slabs are 3 miles away and are a great place to learn to rock climb.

The area is full of serious mountain bike territory including the world famous Coed y Brenin single track routes .

Bird Watching

The Mawddach Estuary is a superb place to watch wading birds and gulls.

There are two RSPB reserves nearby  Arthog Bog and Coed Garth Gell.

"Go-Ape"
